A New Era

Jerod Haase was named the Anne and Tony Joseph Director of Men's Basketball on March 25, 2016, signaling a new era in Stanford men’s basketball. Haase boasts a strong coaching resume, having served as an assistant coach at Kansas and North Carolina before becoming the head coach at UAB the last four seasons. He directed UAB to 80 wins and an NCAA Tournament appearance over four years. A native of South Lake Tahoe, California, Haase helped lead Kansas to three consecutive conference titles as a player and finished his career ranked in the school’s top 10 in assists, three-point field goals and steals. Haase, who was also an Academic All-American, scored 1,264 points and was a candidate for the Naismith and Wooden Awards.
